Coolant temperature sensor failed?

Hi guys, I bought some weeks ago a mini countryman s 2012 and so far happy with the purchase, but last week engine light came on. I scanned and got codes p0118 and p173b.

So I did some research and found it was related to the coolant temperature sensor wich I just replaced and unfortunately problem still there with same codes and fan running after stopping the engine, so don't know what to do now.

Any ideas or suggestions will be deeply appreciated. Thanks

BTW my wife is bothering me saying I did a bad purchase. [emoji53]
Because we had many bimmers before this mini and many problems. I hope this one is different.
