How to Add Photo in a thread

Step 1. In order to display photos in a phpbb forum, you must first upload them to a photo sharing site such as Flikr or Photobucket.

Step 2: Once you have your photo uploaded on the web, just have your mouse ontop of the photo and right click, then choose "properties", then copy the URL ADDRESS of that photo.

Step 3. Let's assume you want to display a photo with the URL of: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j70/l ... cePalm.jpg Click on the little "Img" button above the post editing box. That will place these "tags" in your message:

Step 4. Insert the URL of your photo between the 2 tags, so it looks like this:

[IMG]http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j70/laszlo2u/DoubleFacePalm.jpg[/IMG]

That text will result in your photo being displayed, thusly:

is there a trick to do this with flkr? I have tried to paste the link but it only shows the numbers etc. and it does not end with .jpg...???? confused.

don't think Flickr allows sharing, but photobucket does.

This just in! In order to display a FLICKR photo, at the top of the photo, click "Share This" and then "Grab the HTML/BBCode" from the menu, then select the link inside the "<img" tag and paste that in the message post box on our site.

WHEW!

Of course, it could be just that I owned the photo. Haven't tried w/ someone else's yet.

Hi I have been trying to get photos on the threads. I am using photobucket from my iPad. I can get the address to appear but not the actual photo. I am attaching the photo. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Rob, you have to put the tags on either side of the URL for the photo. I edited your post above to add those tags. Click on the edit button to look at the tags on the URL you posted.
