Dealer in Pa charged around $$80-99...don't remember....would gladly pay that, Braman never called me back with a price for LOF... The Joker that I spoke to did not have price> Sadly they get away with treating their customers with the lowest form of dignity and respect. I'll never use them for anything.BillTheCat wrote:You may want to post in the local forum for Lake Worth area to seek a good shop recommendation.
Regarding DIY oil changes, they're not too horrible, but you need to be ready to move the washer fluid reservoir to get to the filter, and if I recall, the filter requires an oversized socket to open the canister. I might be misquoting, though- try searching YouTube for a DIY video.
Personally, I found that the dealer LOF was only costing me $10-15 more than if I DIY'd it, and then I didn't have to deal with disposal, etc. So I let the dealership take care of it for the most part. I have no problem declining extras from the dealer, but they have found issues, minor AND major, that were under warranty & needed attention, so that was a bonus, too.

Update. Still have it. Still love it. Tried to trade on Blue W Red roof JCW. Loved it. $41,175. Got serious sticker shock. Dealer told me to sell privately as he could not give a decent figure. The offer was equivalent for run a down Mini with heavy mileage. Someone once said the price of a new car makes your old car run better.
Edit: Have been using Vista in Coconut Creek for service. Have been very satisfied so far.

Vista really does have a great reputation down that way.
And yeah, when I was ready to move on from my last MINI, I couldn't price out anything I liked for under $32-33k, and the ones I really dug were over $35k. I just couldn't justify that for a MINI. Which is why I drive a WRX now. $26k (I got the base model) and fun as heck to drive.
If I ever get back into a MINI, it'll probably be an old R53 as a project car. Whether I buy cheap & restore, or buy someone else's lovingly restored car is hard to say.

As the JCW vert price...it's cheaper to get my head examined. WRX is a sharp ride. Nice pick.BillTheCat wrote: the ones I really dug were over $35k. I just couldn't justify that for a MINI. Which is why I drive a WRX now. $26k (I got the base model) and fun as heck to drive.
