I am new to Mini ownership. I imported a 92 Rover SPI Mini from Japan a few weeks ago, and love it. The problem is that it has an AP auto gearbox that has started to slip. I need to find someone who can help me with this problem. I know I will have to travel (Ocala is not the center of the universe) so anywhere in striking distance is great.
Everyone input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Advise needed
I doubt there is anyone that can rebuild the auto box, you might be able to find a good used automatic. Your best bet would be to change to a manual gearbox. I would suggest DJ Minis in Wesley Chapel.

Re: Advise needed
I found a mechanic in StPete that has experience with the Mini gearbox. It is Glenn's MG an British car repair. I guess the Mini shares the gearbox with Austins and others.
Very knowledgeable guy, he is working on it now.
I will let everyone know how it goes.
I sure miss my little car
