How do I collect Undies??? That is one Popular question!!! There are several people that have been successful collecting financial donations, undies, and diapers. This is your forum to share some of those ideas !!! Let's get rolling here...we have 60 days to collect !!!

Ok...what have I done over the previous years???

*Put a sign out in your office along with a collections box.
*Ask friends and family for undies or financial donation (let me tell ya...it is a great conversation piece.)
*Ask friends if they would like to sponsor you on the Undie run
*Buy some yourself - you can often find sales on undies...last year I bought some for 50 cents!!
*Explain to store managers why you are buying undies...see if they can give you a discount.
*Have a bake sale
*Ask your local pub if they would like to sponsor you...LOL

Wow...new news in Jacksonville!!!! Tom Bush MINI will be collecting undies and they have agreed to donate $1 for every pair of undies collected at the dealership up to $250.........Let's drop off some undies!!!

I did but the file was so big I couldn't send it to anyone. I'll see if I can't make a more "travel" friendly one and let you know.

I would also be interested in a flyer. I could get them approved by the dean of school life here at FIT and see if I could make an event out of it! We have a few MINI goers here on campus, and perhaps we could get a collection bin going, and get a decent turnout. It would be great to get some undies collected here!

OK. Room is reserved. All is set. I did a small fundraiser lunch today and have $54.00 already. I plan on a fundraiser lunch each Tuesday in February. See you there.

I have, for the last several years, been providing a soup or salad lunch one day a week to the senior center here in Lynn Haven. That usually involves making enough to serve 50 seniors. I started making a bit extra and taking it to the people where I work. While the work for the senior center is strictly volunteer, I usually ask for donations at work to help cover the cost of their lunch. Since starting this at work, I've been donating the money to different charities. Last year all the money I collected went to the local Rescue Mission (for the homeless). I usually make the soup or salad at home (being a former chef, I have a fairly professional kitchen) and bring in a crock pot (sometimes two) and set it up in our breakroom. I'll send out an email to tell everyone what's for lunch (this week it was Vegetable Beef soup, next week is Minestrone) and when the soup will be ready. I set out any literature or flyers about the charity I'm collecting for and a donations jar sits by the soup bowls. I have yet to not make a substantial profit. I either make really good soup or the people I work with are really generous. I suspect the latter is more true. I've learned in this life that it better to give than to receive and I find that the giving of my culinary skills is my greatest joy. Driving my MINI is my second greatest joy and combining the two for the benefit of Dignity U Wear seems to be an ideal match.

FYI - Kohl's is having a big undie sale....they've got 10 pack pair of girl's undies for about $11 plus I had a coupon that had come in the mail for 30% off!! Not too bad!

The Wal-Mart had a sale on boys' undies...$5.00...the girls' best pricing for multi package was 6 pair for $4.00 at the Dollar General!

I have my undies ready for next weekend!!

You wanna collect undies??!! Well, the easiest way is to join an undie run and collect the undies of your co-participants after the event.
But seriously, undie runs have become more and more common in the last many years and draw more and more participants but. In fact, the Salt Lake City Undie Run draws 3,000 nearly naked runners. An estimate of 3,000 people, clothed only in their under garments, ran through the roads of Salt Lake City last Saturday. The big event was intended to draw awareness to the "uptight" regulations of the state, as reported by the event’s coordinators. The participants were encouraged to paint slogans on their figures, making the big event a billboard for many social causes and its main goal was to bring attention to the conservative agenda of its state administration.
